Private Pre-Natal Classes - $250.00

• 4 weeks of classes, every Tuesday, From 7pm to 9:30pm
• Class One discusses Late Pregnancy and Early Labour. 
• Class Two discusses Active Labour and comfort measures, including medical and non-medical pain management.  Class Three discusses unexpected outcomes such as cesarean birth, and other interventions as well as hospital procedures and what to expect.  
• Class Four discusses breastfeeding and newborn care.

The class is taught by an experienced doula who has assisted women in all manner of labours and deliveries.  She also has experience with most major hospitals and is respectful of all birth choices. 

Classes are held at your home on a mutually agreed upon date

Comfort Measures Classes - $100.00

This unique 3 hour class includes, discussion of the stages and phases of labour. Practicing comfort measures and pain managment techniques to use throughout your labour. Discussion of medication available for labour, the advantages and disadvantages to using medication in labour and when it is best to choose them. Discussion of interventions commonly used in labour and how to avoid them. What to take to the hospital. What a birth plan is and how to prepare one.

Can be added to the basic doula package for a well rounded birthing experience.

Private Breastfeeding classes - $150.00

Are you a first-time parent planning to breastfeed your baby?  Did you have a hard time nursing your first baby and want to get off to the right start this time?  If so, this is the class for you.  We teach this class in 2.5 hours in the privacy of your own home.

Birth Plan Consultation - $80.00

This service includes access to our lending library (with a returnable deposit cheque), one in-person pre-natal two-hour meeting with phone support.

If you are not sure whether you would like to have a Doula attend your birth, but you would like assistance with your birth plan, we can help you identify steps you can take towards a positive birth experience.  If you decide that you would like to purchase a Doula package, this cost will go towards the package and the birth plan will count as one prenatal visit.  If have special circumstances that make this a hardship, we can discuss other options.  You deserve a carefully crafted birth plan to carry out your vision and prepare for the unexpected.

Breastfeeding Consult in Hospital - $80.00

One time in hospital breastfeeding consult to establish the best breastfeeding practices for ease of transition as laid out by the World Health Organization.  Attended within one day after birth.

Placenta Preparation - $200.00 prepared in your home.  $250.00 pick up and drop off.

Full preparation, dehydration and encapsulation of the placenta.
